Strategic Plan

Goal V: Community Commitment

To strengthen ties between the school community and its constituents, build connections among students, parents, alumni, friends, and potential partners in the greater Lehigh Valley community for the benefit of all.

Strategies:

  1. Enhance communications and interactions among parents, faculty, alumni, trustees and administration

  2. Assess the efficacy of the parent ambassador program for outreach to prospective and new parents

  3. Build relationships with alumni to maintain lifelong associations with the school

  4. Utilize the Swain Association to build relationships among current parents, students, teachers, grandparents, businesses, neighbors, and friends

  5. Coordinate and support the Swain community outreach activities of service, funds, and in-kind donations to local and global organizations

  6. Promote Swain by identifying opportunities to use human resources and physical facilities

  7. Explore opportunities to enhance every trustee’s familiarity with Swain’s daily life to better enable them to serve in their role as an ambassador for the school

  8. Encourage community-building activities

  9. Define The Swain School as a clear and positive choice for students, parents, faculty, administration, staff and interns/field staff to work and learn, with a brand that creates visibility and a strong and respected reputation in our community

  10. Market the value of a Swain education to the school’s internal and external audiences
