Secondary School Guidance
As part of the middle school experience at Swain, our students and their families are guided through the process of selecting a secondary school. The conversation surrounding schools begins in sixth grade, as the process unfolds during parent coffees and meetings. Each spring, we host a Secondary School Fair (this year it was on Tuesday, May 8), as 17 of the finest schools in the region visit our campus, making themselves accessible to our families.
During the fall of eighth grade, the process becomes even more individualized, as students and families meet with Swain administrators to review schools, discuss options, conduct mock interviews, and complete applications. Recognizing that the process is unique to each individual, Swain administrators routinely visit many of the best secondary schools in order to learn about school culture and programs.
In the past ten years, Swain graduates have gone on to attend the following independent day and boarding secondary schools. In addition, our graduates have attended a number of area public and private high schools including Emmaus, Parkland, Allentown Central Catholic and Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School.
