Our Mission
The Swain School is a vibrant community which inspires students to achieve academic excellence, develop a strong sense of character, and act responsibly in a changing world. We empower children to build confidence, explore knowledge, and work collaboratively in a diverse and safe environment.

Academic Curriculum
Swain’s program of academics is a challenging, interdisciplinary approach to learning. These subjects are taught at all grade levels:

Subjects such as writing, Mandarin Chinese, Wellness, Latin and global studies are added to the curriculum as the students progress through the Lower School and Middle School.
In addition, all students participate in our character education programs - a variety of character-building programs and events such as Virtues of the Month, Community Service projects, Town Meetings and the Buddy Program, that teaches ethical values and develops each student’s sense of self.

Hours
- Preschool: Classes begin at 8 a.m. There are two dismissal options: 12:30 p.m. and 2:50 p.m
- Lower School and Middle School (Kindergarten – Eighth Grade): The school day runs from 8 a.m.-3:05 p.m.
- Extended Care Program: 7:30–8 a.m. and 3-5:30 p.m.
