Spanish
The introduction of the Spanish language offers students an integrated experience. Activities presented give children the ability to learn about other cultures of foreign-speaking people. Students have a variety of opportunities to master, at the introductory level, their understanding of a second language by developing their listening, speaking, writing and reading skills.
In order to foster a fearless environment in which to practice their new language, students are given many opportunities to rehearse and perform using their new words and phrases. Students will have completed the equivalent of secondary school Spanish I by 8th grade.
