Preschool: 3- and 4 year olds

A secure environment where very young learners can socialize and build a foundation of thinking skills results in students who are happier and more motivated all the way through.

Our Preschool program has two levels — Preschool and Prekindergarten — each tailored to the abilities of three- and four year olds. As the children advance through program, it becomes more structured, but we always maintain the flexibility to flow with the children’s interests.

Creative play introduces your child to concepts in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science. Art, Music, Library Skills, Creative Movement and Technology are an integral part of the program as well. Special events and frequent field trips supplement the classroom activities.

Flexible Scheduling
Children may attend for full day or half day sessions, and for the entire week or a portion of the week. We understand that many families today operate under very complicated logistics, so we also offer Extended Care before and after school, during many school holidays, and in the summer. A number of SASS (Swain After-School Specials) programs are available for children in these classes.

Faculty
The Preschool faculty and accredited specialists are highly qualified professionals, many of whom hold advanced degrees. To ensure that every child receives the attention he or she deserves, there are two teachers per classroom: a lead teacher and a collaborative or assistant teacher.
