Tuition and Financial Aid
The Swain School is committed to providing an education to academically qualified children regardless of race, creed or gender, and realize that parents are interested in options for financing their children’s education.We strive to reflect the true diversity of the larger world in which we live, maintaining a diverse student body that represents various cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
Tuition for 2017-2018

|PK: 5 Half Days - 5 Full Days||$12,950 - $18,500|
|1 - 4||$22,000|

Financial Aid is awarded based on three factors:
- Demonstrated need as determined by guidelines provided by the school and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) – see below
- Consideration of specific family situations or emergencies
- The availability of funds approved by The Swain School Board of Trustees
These awards are based upon financial need, which does not have to be repaid by the family. Each family is required to complete the necessary documentation required by the school on a yearly basis.

Instructions & Deadlines
Deadline for submission of completed financial aid application. Applications received after March 1 will be considered on a rolling basis and determined by what is remaining in the budget.
Applications for the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) may be submitted online at sss.nais.org.

Deadline for submission of copies of your 2016 Federal Income Tax Return and all schedules to The Swain School.
Other important information:
All students in Preschool - 8th grade, enrolled on a full-time basis are eligible to apply for Tuition Assistance/Financial Aid.
Notification of a Financial Aid Award will be communicated in a confidential letter. This information will be expected to remain confidential, both on the part of the financial aid committee and the family receiving assistance. A breach in confidentiality may result in the family losing their assistance.
