Swain Association
The Swain Association - our school's parent-teacher organization - is comprised of current Swain parents, teachers and staff, working together for the benefit of the students and the school. All families of Swain students and faculty/staff are automatically members of the Swain Association - there are no dues or fees for membership.
The purpose of the Swain Association is to foster a sense of community within The Swain School and to promote interaction between parents and teachers at the school.Volunteer involvement is a key element in those efforts, with the Swain Association coordinating many events and fund raising activities throughout the year.
Goals for 2011-2012
- to achieve 100% family involvement - every family will be involved in some aspect of the school's life
- to offer both morning and evening meeting times to increase parent attendance
- to organize the second fund raising event - held Friday, October 21
- to create a campus beautification committee
- to support professional development for teachers
