The arts can be a powerful source of inspiration and joy. They can enhance our human experience and help us communicate in ways beyond language. The arts are a universal means of expression. At Swain, we believe that immersion in the visual and performing arts help children develop both character and intellect.

Stressing Creativity

Creativity is stressed and children are encouraged to go as far as their talents and motivations lead them. Because of our small size, all children have the opportunity to participate fully in music, singing, drama, pottery, painting and poetry. Cultivation of these pursuits brings increased confidence and a way of tackling problems that spills over into the academic arena.
