Care and Summer Care

For our families' convenience, Swain's Extended Care program is a state licensed child care center.
As such, we offer before- and after-school
supervision for our students in all grades during every school day for
most school holidays and early dismissal days, as well as every day during the summer (except July 4). Parents may schedule specific days and/or times for their children to use this service, or they can "drop in" by notifying the Main Office that the service is needed.
Extended Care at Swain means fun, crafts, and play as well as educational opportunities.
Children have a quiet place to complete homework and class assignments under the supervision
of a staff member. In addition to indoor activities, students enjoy several outdoor areas on Swain's 20 acre campus.
After students socialize, an after school snack and beverage are provided.
Schedule
Before school supervision is available weekdays from 7:30
- 8:00 a.m. and after school supervision is provided from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. Please check our calendar for current information about Early Dismissal and No School Days.
Summer Care
During the summer months, Summer Care is available for Swain students and is also open to children age 3 and older in the community. It will be open every day from Thursday, June 12, 2008 (excepting Friday, July 4) and runs through Friday, August 17, 2008. Hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily.
Many children who attend the Summer Care program also participate in our Summers at Swain enrichment program and/or summer sports camps.
