Holiday House Tour plans announced
The Swain Association's Holiday House Tour - and all its many components - was a festive way to kick off the season!
The House Tour - held December 6 and 7 - gave participants an opportunity to tour five distinctive local homes:
* a recently renovated Lehigh Parkway home, rich in Asian influences from its
owner's extensive travels
* a chic Allentown residence, featuring the work of local artists and a
Madame Alexander doll collection
* a grand French country home in Center Valley's Weyhill Woods, evoking the
spirit of a European hunting lodge
* an elegrant Lehigh Parkway residence, stylishly combining indoor spaces with
an extensive outdoor living area
* a luxurious Victorian retreat in Zionsville, designed to blend the old and new
Tour participants had the choice of:
- Snowflake Express (Tuesday evening, Dec. 6) - The package included a light catered supper and the choice of a VIP luxury coach, or regular bus accommodations.
- "Drive Yourself" Tour (Wednesday, Dec. 7) - Participants had the option to include our fabulous Holiday Luncheon or do just the tour.
- Holiday Luncheon (Wednesday, Dec. 7) - "Lunch only", served by the Class of 2012, in formalwear donated by C.E. Roth, was another option.
Almost 50 unique vendors - with items for all ages and budgets - were on hand for the popular Swain Holiday Boutique, which also included a delectable Bake Sale, "Pick-a-Prize" Raffle, and Children's Raffle.
Proceeds from this event support the school's faculty/staff professional development fund.
