Swain hosts Wyoming Seminary for fall scrimmage
Cool weather was in the forecast for Saturday, Sept. 17,  when Swain hosted a scrimmage with Wyoming Seminary, beginning at 10 a.m.
The two schools' field hockey and soccer teams squared off for simultaneous games, followed by a picnic for the athletes and their families.
Swain's newest team, Cross Country, was also on hand to celebrate Swain's athletic program.
The event was originally scheduled for Sept. 10, but Wyoming Sem was unable to participate - record-breakng flooding in their area had prompted an evacuation of their school.
The athletes apparently weren't tired from their games, as they got involved in a pick-up basketball game during the picnic.
