Extended Care

Looking for summer programming? Swain offers a variety of options, including enrichment, sports camps, and child care, for all kids in the community.

Need to reach us? The Main Office is open from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. each school day. From 4-5:30 p.m. all callers can call 610-433-4542, ext. 210 (Extended Care) or 610-217-5459 (the Extended Care staff will be glad to help you).

Before- and after-school supervision is available during the regular school year for our students in all grades. Parents may schedule specific days and/or times for their children to use this service, or they can drop in by notifying the Main Office that the service is needed.

This program includes crafts and play as well as educational opportunities. It gives children a quiet place to do their homework and class assignments under the supervision of a staff member. In addition to indoor activities, students enjoy several outdoor areas on our 20-acre campus as well. An after-school snack and beverage is also provided.

Schedule:
7:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m. (no charge)
3:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. (hourly fees apply)

In the event of an unscheduled early dismissal, Extended Care will remain open for two hours past the dismissal time, so all students and staff can get home safely.

This form must be completed and on file for every Swain student, by Wednesday, Aug. 31:

• Extended Care cover letter
• Extended Care form

For the current school year (2011-2012), the hourly fee for Extended Care is $8.50 per child. Discounts are available for multiple children in the same family.
