Summers mean FUN at The Swain School!
Whether you're four or 14, chances are good that there's something fun for you at Swain in the summer.
All of Swain's summer programs are offered to all kids in the community.
Our Summer Care child care program is great on its own, or as a 'wrap around' to the other programs we offer. It's available from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. every week day, and drop in care is available. The children enjoy field trips, indoor and
outdoor activities, reading, and working in Swain's garden. (Left: Mrs. Appel and the Summer Care kids carefully shred the cabbage from the garden, to make sauerkraut.)
NEW! To get 4th-8th graders 'back to school ready', we offered three optional "Energize your Brain" workshops to share strategies about Math, Reading & Writing, and Organizational & Study Skills. We had a great response - so look for more opportunities next summer!
