Friday, Oct. 27 was another glorious fall day. In the morning, 6th-8th grade students set off for a variety of on- and off-campus sites to work on community service projects. From cleaning up local parks to organizing sports equipment inventories to stocking shelves in a food bank - and more - our students made a big difference in the Lehigh Valley.

Beginning School students also joined in by decorating pumpkins that they will deliver tomorrow to the Village at Willow Lane, a retirement community. First-fourth graders crafted wind chimes and book marks that will be delivered to Meals on Wheels participants.

And we also celebrated the season - with the support of numerous volunteers from the Swain Association, we enjoyed two parades, "Trunk or Treat" activities, and plenty of community spirit!

Our students enjoyed active games (like this 'tomb-
stone' relay race, right)
and collecting treats at the cleverly-decorated trunks in the parking lot. Click here for more photos:

The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th St., Allentown, offers a vibrant education to 322 children in Preschool (aged three) - 8th grade. We do this by supplementing our academic program with additional opportunities in arts, athletics, engineering and design, public speaking, character education, technology, science, and languages.

Our beautiful 20-acre campus is conveniently located five minutes off the Lehigh Street exit of I-78, and busing is available to students from many local school districts at no charge.
