Independent Preschool-8th Grade

Holiday Happenings

This year, Holiday Happenings is filled with many new, fun and festive events.

We’ll be celebrating on Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th.

There are many opportunities for you or your child to be a part of the festivities. We’ll be starting off the two-day celebration with a Cookies & Cocoa Bar and Family Photoshoot Event, along with a shopping preview night for parents. We will then host an “optional” student shopping event during the school day for the students to purchase fair-trade products from Servv, along with other gifts, stationary and novelty items. Our community also has the opportunity to support the Swain School Cougars by purchasing a tasty treat from the Athletic Bake Sale.  The 8th graders will also be hosting their annual Holiday Happenings Family Brunch, in which the graduating class invites their families to join them for a deliciously catered brunch.

Camelot - Share the joy of the holiday season with Camelot for children. Pick a child's wish from the bulletin board in the Bistro and return the unwrapped gift labeled with your snowflake to bins in Rogers’ Commons by Monday, December 16th.

We need parent volunteers to help make this two-day celebration a success! Check out the sign-up genius if you can volunteer your time to lend a hand. *Please note that if you volunteer on Thursday between 3:00-5:30pm, we are offering free childcare.

There are many ways that parents can get involved in the festivities of this school-wide event. Whether you can join the planning committee, volunteer for a time-slot the day of, or simply donate a baked good in support of Swain’s 13 sports teams, we encourage all who are interested to participate!
